Residential
Rooted in one hundred years of caring tradition, and growing to meet the challenges of today's youth, Services de sant? de Gen?ve, Inc. specializes in helping young women through difficult times by utilizing a best-practice approach to residential, behavioral health services. We use a variety of evidence-based approaches to address the individual needs of each young lady through the lens of a gender responsive treatment model that supports the developmental, emotional, social and spiritual needs of young women. In a supportive, nurturing environment, we are there for those who feel confused, alone, depressed or helpless. Gender Responsive Treatment
This treatment approach, which recognizes and responds to the unique needs, challenges and strengths of women and girls, is rapidly becoming a best-practice model for institutions and programs accross the country. Not just "girls only" programs that were designed for boys - these programs are multi-dimensional and deal with specific women's issues, such as addiction and chemical dependence, domestic violence, sexual abuse, pregnancy and parenting and relationships and connectivity.
Using the butterfly metaphor...
The program is designed to assist residents as they progress through four unique and challenging stages by tracking their therapeutic change process from denial to acceptance, to practice, to maintenance. Within each stage therapeutic exercises are completed - including a series of journaling and taking part in family therapy objectives; group learning experiences and individual skill sets. A girl will undergo a transformation, just like a butterfly, into a much more beautiful and resourceful young woman. In the end, she will possess all of the strengths she identified in beginnings, and have a viable plan to apply her new skills in her future.
beginnings • awakening • reflections • transformation
