Registered Nurse

These individuals will be responsible for the medical needs of our clients including helping teach health classes, providing input, assessment and implementation of treatment plan components in a positive and nurturing atmosphere.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Direct Service -- Provide direct serve to residential clients that fosters an overall well-being of both physical and psychological health. Direct service care may include but is not limited to:
    1. Provide input, support, and implementation of individual treatment plans
    2. Teach clients, both in groups and individually, CPR, first aid, childbirth, and healthy life habits, etc.
    3. Act as the agency liaison with hospitals and medical personnel, including but not limited to, WIC, Easter Seals, etc.
    4. Seek, when necessary, medical consultation from the senior residential staff nurse.
  2. Documentation -- Documentation of all direct services and interventions provided on behalf of the client in conjunction with the treatment plan.
  3. Miscellaneous -- duties which may include, but not be limited to:
    1. Actively participate as part of the multi-disciplinary treatment team
    2. Conduct staff trainings in areas of expertise
    3. Assume a leadership role when needed as a member of the charge team to make logical decision in the best interest of the client needs
  4. Evaluation
    1. Participation in outcome driven peer review process
    2. Routinely review files regarding outcome driven treatment documentation and organization
    3. Make timely reports of problems to the assigned clinical team leader
    4. As needed and directed during the clinic
  5. Professional Development
    1. Remain professional in all interactions with colleagues and clients
    2. Function as a resource person
    3. Remain current with professional licensure
    4. Attend professional trainings which will enhance skill level and required training of the residential program
    5. Report all suspicions of child abuse and neglect
    6. Other duties as assigned

Valid WV RN license required. A valid drivers license is also required. Experience with a pediatric population and/or obstetrics preferred. Certification in teaching child birth, Lamaze, breastfeeding, CPR and First Aid a plus.
