Intensive Outpatient Program Therapist

Requirements:
  1. Education, Licensure, Abilities and Attitudes prior to accepting the IOP Program Coordinator position
    1. Master's Degree in Counseling, or Social
    2. Appropriate Geneva licensure
    3. Minimum of three (3) years experience with high risk families, knowledge of and experience in behavioral family therapy and trauma focused treatment with knowledge of behavioral modification, parenting education/support and transitional living skills.
    4. Ability to travel to and serve clients/families in their homes and community settings.
    5. Valid driver's license and insurance statement.
    6. Supervisory experience.
  2. Duties:
    1. Responsible for the development of a system to assure the optimum functioning of the Intensive Outpatient Program.
    2. Provide initial and ongoing clinical assessments of the consumer's strengths and needs.
    3. Coordinate, develop and implement the consumer's treatment planning in conjunction with the consumer, psychologist and other treatment team members.
    4. Provide targeted case management and behavior management services as part of the treatment delivery.
    5. Provide crisis intervention or clinical consultation as needed on a 24 hour on call basis.
    6. Provide individual, family and group therapies using the appropriate theory.
    7. Complete prior authorizations for services as needed.
    8. Provide on-going clinical and administrative supervision, support and consultation to the staff.
    9. Review client charts weekly to ensure the treatment plan goals/objectives as prescribed on the treatment plan are being provided.
    10. Complete progress summaries, discharge plans, written reports or any necessary information as required.
    11. Conduct a weekly IOP meeting.
    12. Approve all admissions in conjunction with the Residential Intake Specialist.
    13. Participate in agency functions such as special projects, committees and local and state meetings.
    14. Report to the Vice President of Community Services any information necessary to improve and maintain relationships with referring agencies including but not limited to the Ohio County Board of Education and the Department of Health and Human Resources.
    15. Must possess current certifications for all core trainings (CPR, CPI, and First Aid) and attend a minimum of 4 agency trainings through the continuing education program.
    16. Provide proof of licensure and completions of CEUs each year according the agency credentialing procedures.
    17. Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President for the common good of the agency.
