"On Being A Warrior" - Professional Advancement Veterans Training Held at Crittenton

The Wheeling Veteran’s Center recently partnered with Crittenton Services to present “On Being A Warrior,” an interactive training that offered an understanding of the readjustment issues of combat veterans and their families. The program, designed by John Looney, Wheeling Vet Center director, featured his own poems and reflections about his military experiences, along with perspectives and conversation with other Center staff, including Sara DeLong, Marriage & Family Therapist, and Erick Ullery and Jennifer Piece, both Readjustment Counseling Therapists. The training was offered free to Crittenton staff and local DHHR employees as a continuing education opportunity. Additional Crittenton staff participated via the agency's online telehealth platform from different regions in the state.
